TRY NOT TO GROW UP TOO FAST

Try not to grow up too fast

The one thing that I keep telling my teenage children is ENJOY SCHOOL, they are the best days of your life. It gives you great memories and great friendships in life.

Don't miss out on the average things people your age enjoy. Head to the beach or movies, enjoy your sport with your friends.

Know that everyone is going through puberty, that your bodies are changing  and your growing up to be adults.

DON'T EXPERIMENT WITH DRUGS & ALCOHOL

Don't experiment with the unknown

It's important not to take drugs or alcohol if you don't know what's in it.

It is possible to become addicted to both legal & illegal drugs.

Drugs can cause depression, anxiety, hallucinations, memory loss and attention problems. Experimenting using drugs is dangerous and other teenager have died due to overdoses, and not knowing exactly what is in the drug.

Alcohol can become addicted very quickly where you find yourself having to drink on a daily basis which destroys your liver. Don't leave your drink unattended and don't accept drink from strangers as they can drug the drink. Be careful, there is a reason why the legal age is 18 years old. Please don't drink and drive, use your sense and call a family or friend to pick you up or take an taxi/uber home.

Saying "No" is fine.

   SAYING NO IS FINE

Saying "NO" helps you to establish healthy boundaries, giving priority to the things in your life which are important. Don't let others push you around and make you do anything that your not comfortable with.

There is nothing wrong in saying NO, don't be pressured by your friends, do the right thing for you.

Peer pressure among friends are hard, but think about the consequences of your actions and take your time making good choices in life.

Trust your gut, it is always right

    TRUST YOUR GUT

This is very important, the saying goes, trust your gut, it is always right. Do you feel uneasy about a decision your making, is your gut telling you something. Trust your inner self. Your gut feeling is a reaction or feeling that is deeper and wiser than our conscious minds.

Therefore, if you have a gut feeling, thing twice about the decision that your about to make , and listen to your gut, and take your time to make a decision.

Just remember, every decision has a consequence, good and bad.

DON'T WORRY ABOUT    APPEARANCES

Don't worry about appearances

Don't worry about what other people think of you. Focus on what matters, you are a special person. Keep your independence and don't try to please everyone. Stop over thinking and most important BE YOURSELF.

Try not to judge yourself on appearances, it's what's inside that matters, being a good person, being kind and thoughtful.

You don't have to have designer clothes to be noticed, be yourself and people will notice you regardless.

FRIENDS WILL CHANGE

Friends will change, that's okay

When you started high school, you probably went from group to group to find out which are the friends that you like spending time with.

Friends will change during your life, keeping in touch with all friends is important.

However, if your friend is having a negative affect on you, consider moving away from them to keep positivity in your life.

DON'T MAKE RUSH DECISIONS IN YOUR LIFE

Don't make rush decisions in life.

Take your time when making decisions in life. Speak to family and friends and obtain their opinions.

Don't rush , take everything in, do your own research and that way you are well informed and can make the right decision. Remember, the elderly have a lot of wisdom, they have been there done that, and can often point you in the right direction.

YOUR VIEWS WILL CHANGE OVER TIME

Your views will change over time.

Your views will change over time, as you grow older and go through different circumstances and experiences in life.

You never know what's around the corner in each of our lives, what's important is staying positive , being around positive people, remaining calm and don't worry .

Your views are important, focus on what matters in your life and keep moving forward and never let anyone bring you down.

FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS

Follow your dreams

Follow what's important to you, follow your dreams. Find away to make your dream come true.

If you have always wanted to be a doctor, then be a doctor. There are always ways to get around the system to achieve what you want to be.

It might take longer to obtain your dreams , but once you have you will feel an accomplishment. Go travel the world if you want too, work on the other side of the world, go on that skiing trip. Don't have any regrets in life.

INSPIRE TO BE YOU

Inspire to be YOU
  • "Believe it can be done. When you believe something can be done, really believe, your mind will find the ways to do it. Believing a solution paves the way to solution."
    —David Joseph Schwartz

  • "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement. Nothing can be done without hope and confidence."
    —Helen Keller

  • "Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts."
    —Winston Churchill

  • Goals. There’s no telling what you can do when you get inspired by them. There’s no telling what you can do when you believe in them. And there’s no telling what will happen when you act upon them.”
    —Jim Rohn

Don't worry about the things in life you have no control over, instead focus your energy on the things you can change, being positive and confident helps us to look forward instead of looking backwards.
