Create a Positive Mind came about giving back and trying to make a difference in life after being diagnosed with an AVM (Artery, Vein, Malformation) in my brain which was removed.
I wanted to put all my energy into giving back and searched for brain related foundations to raise money to help research . We held the "Lucky Hearts Charity Ball" on the 12th of October 2013 which raised $16,500.00 towards research for Brain Cancer.
I thank my beautiful friends and many companies that sponsored this event which made such a difference.
The reason I started designing this website was Mental Health is at it's lowest in Australia, and the current system shows that 54% of people with Mental illness does not access any treatments, which tells us the way we communicate this information is not working and needs to be changed .
Mental Health is the leading cause for doctor appointments in Australia. It affects 1 in 4 people of any age group.
This website is designed for people to access uplifting information, how to change one's mindset, how to get through struggles in life and feel comfortable reading this information. The content is what everyone is feeling, and putting this all together in one website that delivers the information differently is how to get people interested.
Our emotional and wellbeing is important and sometimes it takes just one thing to change your mindset. How we handle stress, relate to others and make choices. We really need to change the way we communicate Mental Health, this will be the start, a goal and a dream of mine.
My business is developing wellness programs and designing information differently so that it is engaging and not boring to read. You put information together for a reason, too relay an important message, so why don't you spend time trying to design it ?
Have you ever realised when searching google that when you bring up a website if it is not engaging you quickly get out and not bother reading what is there?
