Don't let bad things pull you down.
A positive person has the ability to turn a bad day into a good one by literally putting it behind them and moving forward. They have the ability to stay positive in difficult moments no matter how long they last. Bad things can happen to anyone of us. The difference between a positive person and a negative one isn’t the events that occurred but how they respond to them. Whilst negative people let bad things bring them down, positive people will rise above it. Give yourself permission to feel anger, pain, resentment. Then RELAX, then let it go.
You will realise that being you is that best thing you can be
Being yourself is a wonderful thing. Have you ever had a friend you could tell anything to? These are the friends who accept you for who you are and not criticise your flaws. They lift you up and challenge you in ways you would never thought possible.
When it comes to this type of friend, quality is much better than quantity. Find those people who love you for who you are and don't drain your positive energy.
Appreciate every good thing that comes your way.
Highly positive people are grateful for every good thing that comes their way. Some people allow themselves to be the victim and only focus on the negative things in life. It is better to focus on the positive things in our lives instead.
A good example could be when you become frustrated at being stuck in a traffic jam. It is better to focus on the positive that you are blessed to have a vehicle to drive rather than the negative of being stuck
Positivity is contagious
Positive people make others positive. Positivity spreads like wildfire. Have you ever heard the expression: “treat others as you would want to be treated?” This is applicable in this situation.
When the people you choose to surround yourself are uplifting, kind and genuine you too will want to exemplify that to others. Pass the positivity torch around, be the person who is positive, seek out those who are positive and soon your life will be positive
Positive people do not let their fears interfere with their lives
Positive people have learnt through their journey that fear can keep you from succeeding in life. It can stop you achieving your goals. They let fear control them from trying new things. . Positive people will proceed with caution but they do not let fear keep them from trying new things. They realise that even failures are necessary steps for a successful life. They have the confidence to get back up when they are knocked down by their mistakes or any life event, due to a strong belief in their personal resilience.
Appreciate every good thing that comes your way.

Many of us tend to focus on the negative things in life and that naturally makes us feel negative.
Why not pay attention to the many great positive things in our lives instead?
For example, instead of being upset at the traffic jam you are in right now, why not be grateful for the vehicle you get to drive?

Think about the people whom aspire you, whether they be friends, family or guardians. These are the people whom you strive to be more like.
When you are around these people you grow a fondness and love for all that they do.
When these individuals portray a positive light into the world, it will also shine through you.
We look up to and admire these positive people and aspire to be just like the
People who are positive are great communicators
They realise that assertive, confident communication is the only way to connect with others in everyday life. They avoid judgmental, angry interchanges, and do not let someone else’s blow up give them a reason to react in kind.
Rather, they express themselves with tact and finesse. They also refuse to be non-assertive and let people push them around.
They refuse to own problems that belong to someone else.
Positive people smile alot
When you feel positive on the inside it is like you are smiling from within, and these smiles
are contagious. Furthermore, the more others are with positive people, the more they tend to smile too!
They see the lightness in life, and have a sense of humour even when it is about themselves.
Positive people have a high degree of self-respect, but refuse to take themselves too seriously!
When we smile it can be contagious! When someone approaches you with a smile on their face it can be contagious as you notice yourself smiling back at them. Ella Wheeler Wilcox quoted from Poems of Passion: “Laugh, and the world laughs with you; weep, and you weep alone.” A simple smile can light up a room and help those within it feel happy. Positive people can see the humour in life and laugh about their mistakes. They tend to be very humble about their mistakes and can quickly learn from them.
You will have a new found confidence for yourself
When you have positive people supporting the things you do, you will become more confident.

It can be easy to bottle everything up inside, but stress isn't good for your health and you need to talk to someone about your problems.
This could be a good friend, family or doctor that you can trust.
Its really important to have a positive mind.
We are what we think! You need to change your thoughts and this can change your life. In life we can be surrounded by a variety of people. Some people are a joy to be around. They have a loving presence, which nurtures and encourages us.
However, others may have the opposite effect and take away our positive energy when we allow ourselves to become so easily influenced. When we surround ourselves with positive people it takes away the negativity that exists around us. Out wellbeing can be easily influenced with the people we surround ourselves with. If we keep this in mind, we can have greater insights into the effects they have on us and try to surround ourselves instead with positive people.
